Destination Moon: What does “in a blue funk” mean?

Funny, wasn't someone on the Moon crew wearing blue on the night of the launch? I thought that "blue funk" was sort of a play on the color of someone's clothing. Still, I didn't know that "blue funk" is the same thing as being "in a low"...
