Does anyone else like Franka, by Henk Kuijpers?

Franka is a sexy young female archaeologist who, like Tintin, has a knack for getting involved in adventures.

I first discovered Franka in the early 80s when her first story, Het Misdaadmuseum' (The Crime Museum) was serialised in Spirou magazine. My Spirou subscription ended soon after the story appeared, so I only found out the ending of the story several years ago when Rob, our Holland Correspondent, sent me a copy of the book (and a copy of Dutch-English-Dutch dictionary software). By 1999, Kuijpers had published over a dozen Franka stories.

Kuijpers' drawings are extremely precise and detailed - just the style I like. :) I can spend hours just looking at the pictures in my Franka albums. Just take a look at the front page of the official Franka site to get an idea of the style of Kuijpers' work:

No, sorry marsbar, I haven't heard of Franka but it sounds interesting and the art on the site is very good. It kind of looks to me like an upgraded and more mature version of the Nancy Drew character (novels). I read one once (their more for girls), I preffered the Hardy Boys. I think the Hardy Boys books were influenced by the Tintin series, I'm not sure though. Uh... sorry I'm off topic.
