It can't be Muskar II being sort of similar to Oscar II (a swedish king) could it?

No, but Syldavia and a Swedish king is involved.

Does the answer lie in a drawing seen in B&W King's Ottokar Sceptre?

yamilah: Does the answer lie in a drawing seen in B&W King's Ottokar Sceptre?

Well, yes...but then again, King's Ottokar Sceptre consists of nothing but drawings :-)

Soon I'll give the correct answer.

OK, here's the answer;
when Tintin is decorated by the Syldavian king in the B/W-version, the Swedish king Gustav V (or his dead-ringer) is in the audience
(see detail at URL).

This panel was totally re-drawn for the colour version with Herge and Edgar Jacobs with wives in the audience.

Gustav V was born in 1858, replaced his father Oscar II as king in 1907 and lived until 1950. He was also the uncle of Princess Astrid Bernadotte, wife of Belgian king Leopold III and mother of king Baudouin II.

But this was just some extra trivia. As for the original question, the correct answers were given by Martin and Yamilah.

This is the strangest assertion I've ever read about a Tintin book!!

NB: In case it's my turn to ask next question, I PASS again.

In which case both of them get a point, and as Yamilah passes, it's Martin's turn to give the next question.

Slightly off topic, but still 'Swedish' & maybe worth mentioning here:

"Olav" = Hergé's + Jacobs' common signature to some plates planned for a never achieved comics. See Tintin et Moi book
and http://jeunet.univ-lille3.fr/selections/biblio/bibbd.htm

As Martin seems to have disappeared, would anyone else care to pose the next question?
