I almost wish I hadn't started this... ;-)

Re-worded premise:

1) the images that became Destination Moon were not sufficient to fill a 62-page book, and therefore Hergé added new ones, and:
2) the images selected, after cuts to become Explorers on the Moon were also insufficient to fill a 62-page book, and therefore Hergé added new ones.

I hope that's comprehensive enough!
