Professor Calculus mentions a place that is linked with the English explorer James Cook.

Botany Bay, James Cook's landing place in Australia in 1770, is mentioned by Calculus in Flight 714 (p.1-B3).
In that Tintin book, Qantas Flight 714 is a flight 'to Sydney', Australia.
