Hergé gave the intruding photographers in The Castafiore Emerald his own car

Yes... Or maybe he found a opportunity to combine an Italian car with true Italian paparazzi?!

Cheers!

The Italian connection has brought a vaguely related bit of Hergé trivia to mind.
According to Harry Thompson's book, Tintin - Hergé & his Creation, Hergé joked about being transformed into an Italian driver - not by owning an Alfa Romeo, but by the blood transfusions he needed in later years for his severe anaemia.
Noticing that the name on the donated blood identified his donor as a Signor Giuseppe Martini, Hergé would thereafter blame this Italian blood in his veins for his difficulties in parking.

Harry Thompson mentions this by way of an example of how Hergé kept his sense of humour even when beset by ill-health towards the end of his life, which is nice to know.

This question has been well answered - congratulations to those concerned - however to clarify for the future, questions should ideally require only a knowledge of the books themselves, rather than events in Hergé's life etc.
