Who is Mr Rice?

Could you be meaning Marco Rizotto, the Paris Flash paparrazo who appears in The Castafiore Emerald with his colleague Christopher Willoughby-Drupe, and again in Tintin and the Picaros?

Risotto is, of course, an Italian rice dish - riso being Italian for rice. You occasionally see it spelt with a Z, which would match the spelling of Marco's name. The French word for rice is riz, so maybe rizotto is a French spelling of the Italian dish.

Anyway, I'm not sure if Marco Rizotto is who you meant, but that's my guess. It seems to match the clue in your question title, anyway.

Nice work. Found that question by default as I was looking for Mr Meatball. Wondered whether a Risotto could contain meatballs, but quickly put that idea on hold.

So Mr Rice, is indeed the Marco Rizotto. The question title ties in with him being a being from Paris Flash and being a photographer.
