It has been announced that Pascal Garray, who worked at the Studio Peyo, has died at barely the age of 51.

Garray joined the Studio in 1990 where Pierre Culliford (aka Peyo) taught him how to draw the Smurfs. When Peyo died two years later, Garray worked on many of the subsequent Smurf albums, sometimes as lead artist.

He also drew many of the new adventures of Benoît Brisefer ("Benny Breakiron"), about a little boy with Asterix-like superhuman strength.

So sad to see a good artist smurf on so early.

Condolences to his family.
