And for the Tintinologist who hasn't quite everything...

Got an empty space on your wall, and 280,000 Euros burning a hole in your pocket?

Then why not bid for a painting by HergÃ© from the cover of Tintin in America?

Personally it isn't my favourite cover, so I'm going to pass this time... ;-)

Update: I see now that that was an estimate and the picture actually sold for 764,200 euros...

That would put a dent in your pocket money...

Puts my Â£35 moon rocket to shame!

I wish my paintings would go for that amount...

...but then I'd only squander it on more Tintin stuff ;)

It's all the more impressive when you consider the (presumably) most desirable items are part of the Studios HergÃ© archives. Of the other paintings in the same series as this one, I'd plump for The Blue Lotus but I guess I may not be alone. I can't imagine how much that would go for!
