Where to buy the complete set of “Tintin” books in the U.S.?

I have only recently (3 months ago), became a Tintin fan. I own no books, and I want to buy the whole set. Since I live in the US, no actual stores sell the books, so I have to buy from a website. Are there any websites where I can find the complete set of Tintin books for a resonable price?

Hi, and welcome to the hobby!

I know that Tintin isn’t as well known in the U.S. as perhaps he is elsewhere, but I think you’ll find that there are actual shops which carry the books – maybe just not in your area. In addition to large book-shops, you could try regular comic shops - the American company Lttle Brown is the U.S. publisher of the reguar books, and Last Gasp of San Francisco publishes the B&W facsimile editions of early versions of some stories.

Also check our shopping guide - here’s a link to the U.S. section. THere may be something near you, or with which you can get in touch.

One really good aspect of book-shops is that they are very good at ordering titles if you request them - just let them know what you want, and even if they don’t normally stock something, they will get it from their supplers just for you (if it is in print). So if you have a local book-shop, just go in and speak to someone behnd the counter - I bet they will be happy to help! This may also persuade them to carry the books in future, so you’ll be spreading the word.

If this doesn’t work for you, the usual sites you use to buy books are the next stop - Amazon carries Tintin books, and you usually get a bit of a discount.

Hope this helps!
