The grey Stinson SM-2 owned by the missionary Pere Francoeur and named 'Sancta Maria II' in the 1951 facsimile edition of 'Destination New-York' has been replaced by a dark green Stinson SM-2 owned by the ethnologist Professor Nielsen and carrying the Danish registration 'OY713' in the 1987 English colour album of 'Destination New York'.

Does anyone know in what year this change took place, and whether it happened in just the English translation, or was a more general change in all editions?

Those changes were in the Swedish edition from the early 70s as well. And the impossible, Antarctic penguins were also changed - at least in the Scandinavian editions - to Common murres.
