Well... Here goes...

I do not wish to tell my age, but my name is Kim (female).I Travel all over the world and so sailing quite often. I first discoved Tintin when I was the library in the Jr. comics section. I was facinated by the halarious French jokes and drawings. I still read the comics over and over and rant on to my friends about how great he is (guilty of making friends see the new Tintin movies at the Cinama)! I collect anything with Tintin on it (I'm sooooooo obsesed with it)! I laugh at the funny vidios that are posted Youtube. The thing is, whenever I watch the 1960's short movies based off the comics, I find them off a little... or should I say A LOT. Like Tintin in America, it never shows the scene of when Tintin comes in contact with the Native Americans (they just skipped a huge part of the story!!!). My hobby is colecting stamps and my occupation is a jounalist. I am doing a story in Califorinia this summer in July. Check out my story! I'll post it ASAP! My favorite color is blue and I do dooldles of Tintin everywhere! On newspapers, napkins, and anywhere else I can! My cell phone and computer backround is Tintin, and Tintin inspired me to become a Reporter! I'll move to Belgium (once I make enough money) and live in an apartment. As if right now, I live in a normal house in Michigan. Speaking of Michigan, I was born there and lived there ever since.

Whew! That's a lot of typing.

Hello everybody,

Thought I'd finally stop lurking and become an occasional poster. Loved Tintin as a kid in Finland, moved to US a decade ago and miss my Franco-Belgian comics so decided to try and promote them the best I can. So currently I review mostly european comics for Bookgasm (and used to review them for FA Online) in hopes of bringing in more readers to these wonderful books.

In my new column I plan to revisit not just new publications, but also do some retro reviews of Tintin, Lucky Luke, and anything that's still available.

Next column includes a review of Mezieres-Christin's Land Without Stars, and the one after that Edgar P. Jacobs' Atlantis Mystery. I have a bunch of these reviews out and hope to do many more -- the more the word gets out, the more books will come out, and the happier we'll all be.

Anyway, delighted to be here! --JT.

PS. A bunch of links to reviews that tell you more about my likes and dislikes than anything I can easily summarize here:

Hallo Daar!

My nom d'plume is Martie Opelle, and I'm a 14 year-old Tintin fan. Born and raised in Houston, Texas, and lived here ever since. Sometimes I feel like the only person at school who knows what the heck a "Tintin" is! My hobbies besides reading Tintin is watching silent film and reading in general. On the topic of silents, my favorite actress is Clara Bow, and I'm a hardcore silents fan. I've been lurking this site for some time, decided now would be a good time to register and finally introduce myself.

I hope to become a regular here, and I look forward meeting other Tintinologists!
Cheers,
Martie
