The new issue of Doctor Who Magazine (Nº452) has a Tintin-themed in-joke in the comic strip (The Broken Man, Part 2).

The Eleventh Doctor and Amy have to gain entry to a building where Rory is being held captive; to do so The Doctor presents his psychic paper to the sentry on duty, and announces that he is “Ambassador Ottokar of Syldavia”…

Nice. I wonder if Herge ever watched Doctor Who? I see him as the sort of person who would enjoy that kind of adventure through time and space.

I don't think the old series of "Doctor Who" was ever dubbed into French. I certainly don't recall ever seeing it on French TV. Belgian TV may have had it but I would be rather surprised.

Didn't Stephen Moffit write for Dr. Who and do the screenplay for the Tintin film?

What?!? That's hilarious XD! But that wouldn't work if Rory were held captive by Bordurians, I suppose :s. Wait, I wonder if Rory was held captive by Syldavians?

Bordurians or Syldavians, with a Tardis it will be easier to get Rory out of jail and to the border than it was in "Calculus Affair", unless the Bordurians have a few Daleks and Cybermen as opposed to those useless canon and mines.
