What would be different about him and the rest of the cast?

Explorers on the moon wouldn't be so cool story as it was in 50's ;)

Tintin would have GPS, so he probably would have known exactly where he was at all times, even when he was lost in the jungle in Cigars of the Pharaoh.

Tintin's pants, for starters...Snowy would get his dose of Frontline spray against ticks and fleas... (what did he use before, I ask?)...
Tintin's hairdo woulnd't be so special anymore: it's the punk look nowadays!

He'd never have to worry about waiting out in the rain to use a telephone booth - he'll have a cell phone instead!

And a laptop too, Aurore.

Tintin and Company would find out how our world has gone to worse, more ghastly than what they had from the 30's to 70's. Captain Haddock would have more nightmares aside from Castafiore.

He would probably use the internet more than going out and researching.

I don't think so! Tintin's a sport, not a couch potato! You don't get adventure by seating in front of a computer!

Maybe Tintin would discover MMORPGs, though!

Just kidding! I don't think that Tintin would do that, it's just kind of funny.

Another difference if Tintin was in the 21st century is that color television (like the one that Professor Calculus invented) would not be amazing. The sort of things that Professor Calculus would invent now would be efficient hydrogen fuel cells, machines that can make DVDs region free, A machine that could filter all of the carbon dioxide out of the air and, Perhaps, would work on genetic modification.

Calculas would probably find a way of cloning Tintin
