The film has revived my crush on Tintin 110% although he somehow seems 'younger' yet more mature. I think that's because Jamie Bell's playing him and I'm sorry, the cartoon series was great, but I wonder if the person who was Tintin's voice-artist there was just a little 'awkward.' Jamie Bell just seems right in his voice. *sorry, cartoon fans*

More to the point, I love what they did with Haddock. I adore Scottish accents and the fact they gave Haddock one... *swoons*

No ways. I miss Colin O' Meara. I do not know where he disappeared off to or where he went and why the internet does not have any articles or photographs related presently to him, save a few. The 2011 version of Tintin was 'excellent' in terms of 'looks' and thankfully got rid of his infamous "Japanese pretty boy" image and seemed more mature and handsome. But voice-wise, Colin O' Meara is irreplaceable. We miss him.

Please if anyone has any photographs related to the original Nelvana "Tintin" Colin O' Meara, please post it.

Admittedly it is sometimes sounds so in some scenes, but without Colin O'Meara, I don't think Jamie Bell's voice will even sound that way in the movie. Colin O'Meara, I suppose, is the benchmark voice for Tintin in the English-speaking world.

Anyway, relating to this thread, Ken Rogers the reporter in Red Rackham's Treasure (the one who interviewed Calculus nearing the end of the story) looks somehow interesting (not quite eligible for being nominated as the handsomest character, but yeah can't help myself on it). He somehow reminds me to Erwin Schrodinger.

"Quite true. I some how agree to this point."

"I prefer the American "David Fox" version of the Captain than the Scotch one. It was way more modern, well-suited and hilarious than 2011 version of Captain Haddock which made him seem like some kind of an oldie!"

You know, I really do think that tintin is the best looking person in the adventures of tintin. I've always thought that he was generally handsome, but personally I think red hair is really... Well... Cute.

I don't know why he reminds me of some "Takumi Usui" kind of character from Maid Sama. That is the movie version. I find the book version better. And I guess with time, Herge's portrayal of Tintin just got better and better as the series progressed. After all, that "boy reporter" has always been my 'first love'and he still is.
