Well, the whole Cigars/Lotus suite (or whatever they are called) did show one thing with its paranoid-ness: that there was a kind of web woven by Rastapopoulos, one where everyone seemed to be an enemy, if you get my drift.

Yeah it was a little scarier that is for sure with Cigars and Lotus but the Moon books had pieces of paranoia in them.
