They’ve been trailering it like mad all week (well, since Tuesday or Wednesday), and it is getting two broadcasts - one in the morning, and one at 9:00p.m., so it is being treated as a classic, rather than a children’s thing! I thought they might shoe-horn it into one of the Little-/ Big-Toe Shows.

Just looked on BBC7's site, and there's a photo of Richard Pearce, the chap who plays Tintin here.

And it's going to be aired three times - 10am, 9pm and 2am ! I'm looking forward to hearing them on digital radio, just a pity that The Castafiore Emerald won't be broadcast.

Thanks for the info, Richard ! Even more opportunities to tune in ! That photo is really interesting ! It is really annoying about The Castafiore Emerald though. Oh well, you can't have everything ! :(

Damn forgot about the first one yesterday, It's The Secret of the Unicorn today!
However on the BBC website where you can listen again, Black Island is available now.

It was long time since I’d listened to “The Black Island”, and it was fun - better than I remembered, actually. I was especially taken by the wailings of the citizens of Kiltoch about the monster - it sounded like a group of Pte. Fraser imitators at a “Dad’s Army” convention!

HAHAHAHA I'm just getting to that bit with the locals!

Sadly there appears to be too much snowy talking IMO, mostly narrating the story and then going back to barking again

I used to tape the adventures off the radio when they first came out. Who would have thought Manuel out of Fawty Towers would be playing Snowy! I suppose Andrew Sachs could be called as a famous fan and added to the List.

Listening to The Secret of the Unicorn now, why does Tintin refer to himself as “Famous Boy Reporter” in correspondence?

I love the theme tune music!

Why not? That’s what he is, isn’t it? I am of course taking that to mean that he is a boy, who is a reporter and famous, not a reporter who specialises in famous boys...

I notice that in the profile of Tintin on the tintin.com site he is, according to Hergé, aged between 16-18, so he is still a boy...

The reporter part is specified, because he is writing to his editor.

I just finished listening to the two episodes that ran this Monday and Tuesday-- great fun!
I'm recording these to mp3 so I don't lose them when the streaming rolls over next week.
