[Post moved from "Legitimacy of the Malaysian VCD set" thread.]

Tintin VCDs are also available in India (bootlegs). But my advice is not to waste your money on VCDs. They are useless and have very short shelf life. And then the picture quality is not so great either when compared to DVDs. Currently, the shops here have started selling Asterix DVDs, so it won't be long before we see Tintin DVDs.
Cheers,

There is a report on the BBC News website today about the popularity of the new Tintin DVDs and VCDs in India.

There’s a nice article about them here too. And just to emphasise, these are now the real deal, not bootlegs or pirates, and dubbed into Hindi. The gatefold packaging looks quite nice, from the little that can be seen in Ed’s BBC article.

Any of our members in that part of the world able to tell us more about the new releases?
