Anyone ever read it? What's it like? I hear the author doesn't like certain people....

I couldn't be bothered reading it all. It's too lewd and crude... If you're a fan of Tintin and you like the stories and Herge's style, then this is not for you. It's more in the vain of underground comics, some which I like, but not this one!!

I have managed to download it for free from a dutch web site. You're both right, it's very smutty, but it struck my interest to see what all the fuss was about. I think it is quite simply a hit at Moulinsart and was probably just written to annoy them, which it did.

I've heard of it, but I'm not one who wants to read about Tintin and his friends on their sexual adventures.

Didn't really do much for me either - I glanced through a few pages online; what did interest me about it was the underlying theme of being anti-Moulinsart and their policies. It seems they anticipated quite correctly the trouble that would arise as a result of this. I agree with mildenhall - it seemed to me to be more of an anti-Moulinsart work than anything else.

While I was in Thailand, I was wondering if I'd see any reference to this, but the only sign of Tintin all trip was a Blue Lotus T-shirt in the night market!

I just saw "Tintin in Thailand". That was NOT Tintin-like. Too much foul language, too lewd, you know the rest...

Why would anyone in particular want to bash Moulinsart? The world is already very happy with the real Tintin stories...

I tackled it to a certain point, but hearing Snowy swear, when he's much too witty and refined, and some horrible woman describe Archie (ARCHIE!!!) as a "syphilitic bore", turned my disgust up to inflammatory levels. I was too sickened to read any more.

Well said, Karaboudjan! "Tintin in Thailand" is an eyesore, especially since it was so crudely drawn (the detectives look so different from the way Herge would have drawn them). Herge would not have drawn like that, even if X-rated content was not in the story...

I was just reading an article about it and I have to admit that it sounds hilarious in an insane, debauched way. It's like what would happen if the Something Awful forums wrote a Tintin comic.
