The BBC Doctor Who news pages have a report which gives casting information for the 2007 Christmas Special, Voyage of the Damned. This list includes the star of the Tintin play at the Barbican last year.

It'd be great if Russell Tovey was appearing in the Doctor Who Christmas Special as Tintin, helping the Doctor to foil some Cyberman drug-running racket. But I can't see Hergé's estate allowing that!

He'd be very young, even by Tintin's ever youthful appearance - the story is set on The Titanic...
I suppose he could have travelled in time, either on board the TARDIS, or via the Calcuchronolocator that the Professor would no doubt be wiring up in his lab.
