I think that there have been a couple of forums like this one, but they are mainly for your favorite other comics and stuff.
Also, there's the top ten films, so I thought there should be a top ten books.

Here are mine in no order:
(Tintin is understood to be one)

1 Abarat by Clive Barker,
2 Moomintroll by Tove Jansson, (and any other book about trolls)
3 The Neverending Story by Michael Ende,
4 Ender's Game by Orson Scott Card,
5 Secret Sacrament by Sheryll Jordan,
6 Coraline by Neil Gaiman,
7 The Golden Compass by Philip Pullman,
8 A Tale of Two Cities (or Great Expectations) by Charles Dickens,
9 Sabriel by Garth Nix,
10 Winnie the Pooh by A.A. Milne

what are your top ten?

I suppose it's novels you're after?

Beloved (Toni Morrison)
The Cancer Ward (Aleksandr Solzhenitsyn)
Austerlitz (W.G. Sebald)
God's Bits of Wood (Sembène Ousmane)
Crime and Punishment (Dostoevsky)
The Egyptian (Mika Waltari)
One Hundred Years of Solitude (Marquez)
The Grapes of Wrath (John Steinbeck)
The Stranger (Camus)
Lolita (Vladimir Nabokov)
Slaughterhouse five (Vonnegut)
The Sea-Crossed Fisherman (Yashar Kemal)
Crabwalk (Günter Grass)

That's already more than ten, have to stop listing then. I suppose few extras won't do any harm. Looking the list now, it looks a bit too much like "the official list of great novels", should've probably thought of some genres sometimes overlooked by critics. Nevertheless, all of these easily deserve to be recommended.

Try to find and read Moonraker's bride . The plot allmost matches the plot of Secret of Unicorn and Red rackham's treasure.
