Red Rackham's Treasure is my favourite. It's hard to choose though, as most of them are excellent. Blue Lotus, Shooting Star and Destination Moon come close.

Thanks guys that's lovely and really helpful!
But I think it's funny someones telling me how to say Tintin properly when they get a book title totally wrong: it's Cigars of the Pharaoh... not Beeper!

If you want to read the story of how our esteemed Mr. the Beeper got his name, you can read about it here.

Talking about the best Tintin book, how about telling your top 3?
Mine are:
The Black Island
Cigars of the Pharaoh
The Crab With the Golden Claws

These are the ones I reread the most!

So, Grey, The Black Island is the top book for you! For me it is as well! Can you tell your reasons why?

To me (personal opinion), I believe, The Black Island is the most serious adventure of the early books. It always keeps me on edge when I read it. Especially, the part of the fire at Muller's. The firefighters don't get the darn key to the vehicle and Tintin is about to be roasted alive!!!!
