'Tintin in the Congo and Racial Stereotypes in Comics' - V & A Lecture

The V & A in London is hosting a one-day symposium, jointly organised with the annual Comica Festival, that examines the formation and function of archetypes and sterotypes in British, American and European comics and graphic novels. Themes include racial, sexual, social and political stereotypes.

At 11.20 Charles Dierick, who used to be the Director at the CBBD in Brussels and is now Director of the Hergé Museum, will be giving a lecture about "Tintin in the Congo and Racial Stereotypes in Comics"
