Let's hear what presents did you get this Christmas!

Here're mine: one Tintin T-shirt, one Haddock T-shirt, one Tintin pencil box (must be a pirate item) and a football coffee cup.

What else a man can wish?

I am hoping to be able to take advantage of any bargains in the Boxing Day sales to get the Tintin DVD boxset (from the 1990's)

A book called "A l'ombre de la ligne claire" ("In the Shadow of Ligne Claire") by Benoît Mouchart, a biography of Jacques Von Melkebeke.

"Ligne claire" is the style of drawing used by Herge and Edgar Jacobs, who were close friends of Von Melkebeke, and other artists. Although a major influence, he was forced to work in secret, behind-the-scenes, due to the stigma of him collaborating with the Germans during the war.

You can find out more about him here.
