According to France's Figaro newspaper, a rough outline of page 53 of "Flight 714" is due to be auctioned in Cannes, France, on the 26th October.

It is a series of sketches in which Herge outlined the panels for the page before he drew the final version. It is the scene of Tintin and Carreidas fleeing the incoming lava and Carreidas pushing Haddock aside, causing him to fall over.

Herge originally gave it to a doctor friend, and it is estimated to be worth between 60 and 70,000 euros (about £60,000 sterling, US$95,000 or AUS$100,000). Time to empty your piggy banks!

This page includes a couple of scans from the page. The second one includes the last panel of that page: it shows Tintin looking up while screaming to Haddock about the lava; quite a contrast to the panel in the final version when he is facing the reader.
