Why was it said in the movie that the marking CN-3411 on the seaplane was Portugese? Because as far as I can remember, I think I read that it had Moroccan markings in The Crab With The Golden Claws.
Can anyone explain please?
Thanks.

"CN" does indicate that the plane was registered in Morocco. If it was Portuguese then it should be "CS" or "CR" depending on the type of aircraft.

In the book, "CN" links it to Omar Ben Salaad when, on page 48, Tintin asks the Thom(p)sons to find out the registration of his personal plane.

Maybe the script-writers thought it more likely that, in the period in which the film is set, the villain Sakharine would more likely have associates in Portugal rather than Morocco. They just did not research plane markings and make the appropriate changes.
