The Spielberg movie makes its British terrestrial TV debut on New Year's Day 2015, and has been picked by legendary reviewer Barry Norman as the film of the day in his round-up of festive films in the listings magazine Radio Times.

He includes it in his list of 12 must-see movies over the Christmas holidays, where it is one of just four films premiering on Freeview (the British free-to-air digital channels) to make his selection (alongside Skyfall, The Dark Knight and the Disney animated One Hundred and One Dalmations).

Elsewhere in the magazine he does a write up for the day broadcast, and says that "one ingenious idea follows another", and describes it as "rollicking fun from beginning to end".

Barry Norman has long been one of the most respected film reviewers in British media, and the double size, two week edition of Radio Times at Christmas is a must-have purchase for many U.K. homes (it sells so many copies that it goes on sale weeks in advance, and has been the biggest selling issue of any magazine for many years), so this is quite an accolade for the Unicorn movie!

The Adventures of Tintin: The Secret of The Unicorn is being shown on BBC1 and BBC1HD from 16:25 to 18:05 on 01 January, 2015.
