Jo, Zette & Jocko: When were changes made to "Destination New York"?

The grey Stinson SM-2 (owned by the missionary Pere Francœur and named Sancta Maria II) in my facsimile of the 1951 edition of Destination New-York, has been replaced by a dark green Stinson SM-2 owned by the ethnologist Professor Nielsen, and carrying the Danish registration 'OY713' in the 1987 English colour album.

Does anyone know in what year this change took place, and whether it happened in just the English edition, or was it a more general change to all editions?

Those changes were in the Swedish edition from the early 70s as well. And the impossible, Antarctic penguins were also changed - at least in the Scandinavian editions - to common murres/ common guillemots.
