Could we add up the totals on a given date, say January 1st?
I propose that with 'unread' we give the average score that album got (for example if Soviets got say, 70 points, but had a few 'unread's, we get the average rating for it by dividing the no. of points by the amount of times it got rated, then give that amount of points for the 'unread's; similary with 'not applicable's etc).

In fact I can do it if nobody wants to.

Anyway, here are my ratings (but v. unscientific, based mostly on how much I enjoyed them):

Soviets - yet to read
Congo - 3 (pretty darn awful, the only good thing in it is the bad guy's beard growing through the story - a nice touch)
America - 5
Cigars - 7
Lotus - 8
Ear - 7
Island - 8
Sceptre - 8
Crab - 7
Star - 9
Unicorn - 7
Rackham - 9
Balls - 8
Prisoners - 8/9
Black Gold - 7
Destination - 7
Explorers - 8
Calculus - 8/9
Sharks - 9
Tibet - 8
Emerald - 8
714 - 10 (what's evryone got against this one?)
Picaros - 8
Alph-Art - (as I understand it, we are rating Yves Rodier's effort? In that case I give it a 6, however if Hergé had completed it I would think it would be as good as 10 for me, so on average - 8)
Lake - (I've only read it once ages ago and thought there was something not quite right about it, but I'll give it a 5)

I believe everyone is actually rating Herge's incomplete version of Alph-art.

To tell you the truth, The Lake of Sharks shocked me - how could anyone put that book under Tintin's name?

I'm reading the Tintin books for the first time; I just knew the cartoons.

From what I read so far:

Land of the Soviets 6 (there's no "real" plot)
Tintin in the Congo 5 (The story isn't great...as so the behave of Tintin)
Tintin in America 7 (It would be great if it stayed in the city)
Cigars of the Pharaoh 9
Blue Lotus 10
Broken Ear 8
Black Island 9

Today I'll read the King Ottokar's Sceptre.

Cheers

Land of the Soviets - 3 (not bad for a beginner)
Tintin in the Congo - 2? (after reading B&W edition, years since I saw colour edition: some funny moments, but really...)
Tintin in America - 4? (a while since I read this one)
Cigars of the Pharaoh - 6
Blue Lotus - 9 (first masterpiece)
Broken Ear - 5 (disappointment after Lotus, and I can't help comparing it to Picaros, since that book has the same setting.)
Black Island - 6
King Ottokar's Sceptre - 9 (well-constructed political thriller)
Crab with the Golden Claws - 6-7? (haven't seen it for a long time)
Shooting Star - 6
Secret of The Unicorn - 8
Red Rackham's Treasure - 10 (Both books make a thrilling treasure hunt)
Seven Crystal Balls - 6
Prisoners of the Sun - 9 (the South American setting attracts me more than the scenes in Belgium)
Land of Black Gold - 8
Destination Moon - 7
Explorers on the Moon - 9 (sucker for a space adventure)
The Calculus Affair- 9 (see comment on Sceptre)
Red Sea Sharks - 8
Tintin in Tibet - 10 (the Master is in top form now)
The Castafiore Emerald - 9 (how to make a funny book out of nothing)
Flight 714 - 8 (Like the Indonesian setting)
Tintin and the Picaros- 9
Tintin and Alph-Art - 6-7? (Hard to tell. Nothing in the story as it stands, that really grabs me)
