What has the Tintin series taught you?

I've learned that if I get to see an unregistered plane force-landing, I won't go nearer; I'll go away ASAP. Let the pilot fix the problem! I don't want to be shot in the gut! Joke aside, thanks to Tintin I've learned about Hergé, which made me find out more about the author, his country and history. I've got also interested in Savate fighting. I learned that I can use any common word in the dictionary to make an insult (courtesy of Captain Haddock!) without ha...

I don't know, but that is enough to know your friend is a true " Ringer" (a LOTR fan). I bought a documentary DVD called "Ringers: Lord of the Fans". Great stuff!

How is "Rastapopoulos" pronounced?

Hehehe... yeah, I know. Herge had a magnificent character everyone adores. But Rasta the Gangsta is, obviously... is he worse (instead of 'badder') than Carreidas?

Perfect wife for Tintin

I realy do hope that the studios don't try to tack on a love intrest to get women to come or something dumb like that. (It is my theory that's why they played up the relationships in LOTR) For the moment we'll have to put our faith in Moulinsart

Folks, I am new to this forum. This is really cool! I do own the complete list of Tintin, Asterix etc. but am looking for editions in different languages/versions etc. I am visiting London for a few weeks and was wondering if any forum members familiar with the region had any recommendations for used book stores to search for Tintin knick-knacks and old books. I do plan to visit the Tintin Book Store too! In the same vein do you folks know if Commando comics can also be bought at these sto...

Thanks, jockosjungle. But would you be able to tell me what the titles actually are in the English version? I can hardly believe they're the same as my shoddy translations.
