Hello, and welcome to the forums!

A quick note, to avoid dissapointment: unfortunately, I don't think any of the coloured facsimile editions, including the ones you're looking for, were ever published in English; they may still be in print in French, if that's of any help.

All three "Making of Tintin" books were translated into English. The hardback edition of "Red Rackham's Treasure" in English will probably be the easiest in your list to find.

Good luck finding the books!

Hi,

All of these are available in English. Try looking on eBay, Amazon and Abebooks. The latter in particular is very useful, as it allows you to do an advanced search by publication date, publisher, ISBN, etc. Worst case scenario, try searching the ISBN with Google.

A good list of ISBN numbers and other information is here:

The six colour facsimiles were published by Egmont in 2008. They have different ISBNs to the standard versions. All have matte paper and digital lettering (not Hyslop). None are that rare except for The Black Island, which is unfortunate because it's the most interesting, as it was completely redrawn in 1965.

There are four Making of Tintin books, all published by Methuen. They are:

1. The Secret of the Unicorn/Red Rackham's Treasure (1983) ISBN: 9780416293005
2. The Seven Crystal Balls/Prisoners of the Sun (1989) ISBN: 9780416515008
3. Destination Moon/Explorers on the Moon (1989) ISBN: 9780416027327
4. Cigars of the Pharaoh/The Blue Lotus (1995) ISBN: 9780416162424 This is also the rarest.

Hardcover Red Rackham's Treasure is still in print and easy to find. Try Amazon, Tintinshop or Egmont.

Try the following eBay searches:
