I'm not sure that anyone's ever spoken about it in an official capacity....Jock123, do you know?

I think that the discussion has gone on long enough to show that there isn’t a definitive answer on this - if there was, it would have been brought up a long time ago… ;-)

*sheepish laugh* guilty. I can't imagine a Tintin story with romance, though. Hahah. So no matter.

Based on the books written by George Remi, Tintin is clearly asexual. Tintin simply loves adventures. He has no time for love nor womanizing. I see him as a young man about 18-22 (my guess only because it was never stated in the series about his true age), who is very smart, brave and kind. And I would love to stay it that way for a boy who loves nothing else but adventure.

No. Tintin is not gay or bisexual. And the next person to think that is going to get chewed out. I'm 100% sure that Hergé made Tintin a guy. Also him being Christian, I'm sure being gay was against his religion, like my religion.

Err, no they aren't!
I appreciate that you may have been being emphatic for dramatic effect, but it's probably best to point out right away that, while you can hold – and vigorously argue (within the bounds of our rules and posting guidelines!) - a point of view, we don't "chew out" anybody on these forums, for any reason, never mind just for holding a different opinion.

As you can see, we are now twelve pages into a thread that has been going for many years, and there is not a definitive case for an answer that is right or wrong; if anyone needs to be reined in, the Moderators will handle it!

Ok. I'm sorry. I just get heated when I see questions like this. It ruins the whole thing for me!

Nothing to apologise for - no harm done!
