Here another example of a publisher mentioned in the Tintin books, who never excised.

In the liste that you find in each album at the time was mentioned : The Tintin books are published in the following languages :
For Serbo-Croatian was mentioned as publisher NIRO - Beograd.

Or NIRO means : Novinsko Izdavacka Radna Organizacija, this is a form of companies establishing from a period of Socialistic Yugoslavia.
It means News Publishing Working Organization.

There was never a publisher called NIRO?

You have for instance : NIRO Decje Novine who published 2 Tintin titles in the seventies (Cigars and Flight 714) as an album, this means
News Publishing Working Organization Children's News

Here what I wrote today to Casterman Belgium :

Hello,

I'm still seeking why Casterman mentioned "TIGA LIMA" as publisher of Tintin comics in Indonesia in the Dutch Tintinbooks from the seventies. Also in the Icelandic Tintins from the seventies they mention "TIGA LIMA" as publishers. The Icelandic were printed by Casterman Belgium too. Until now nobody could tell me why. Nobody can show me a cover from "TIGA LIMA". In Indonesia nobody have Tintin albums published by "Tiga Lima", a.s.o.

But Casterman must have some reason to put this in his Dutch and Icelandic Tintin albums. Since several years I try to find why, but until now nobody can help me .
Do you have any Idea why Tiga Lima was mentioned at the time in those albums, or do you know someone from Casterman who may help me to find why.

Kind Regards

I have bought a rare edition of Juventud with the back white.
It is the five edition of La Isla Negra 1977 in which is referred Tiga Lima as the Indonesian editor.

I received today an answer from Mr.Pollet from Casterman.
Mr. Pollet was at the time Secretary General, and responsible for the relations between the 2 departments of Casterman(Publishing and Printing department) and at the moment he is Collection Editor at Casterman.
Here Wat he wrote: Je n ai aucune information sur Tiga Lima Desole. Mais si vous en avez ca m interesse
Translation : I have no information on Tiga Lima - Sorry. But if you have ... I'm interested.
This was my last hope to find more about Tiga Lima.
I hope that someday someone find the Truth about Tiga Lima

As Dian (my friend who started this topic) we here in Indonesia are also finding info of this mysterious Tiga Lima. So far nobody have solid proof of its publishing.

My friend who has contacts with the Publishers Union, have checked the list of publishers since our early Republic days (before 1950's) and no Tiga Lima ever existed in the list.

However, another friend, who's also a Tintin fan and usually hunts antique books all over the country, visited an old used book store. Without accepting any reply, he asked the store owner about old Tintin's Tiga Lima. The owner said, "Oh yes I remember that. There were several titles, which I don't remember exactly. It was old, yellowish, B/W. It's not that interesting. I sold them many many years ago"

Another friend, who is quite old (some 50 years old) said he had once the Indonesian edition of Broken Ear. The official Indira publishing titled it as Patung Kuping Belah. But he said, and definitely confident of his memory, that the title back then was Misteri Patung Arumbaya (Arumbaya Statue Mystery) and in B/W. Too bad he lost the book many years ago.

So far that's the info we have on Tiga Lima.
