Calculus Affair: did the taxi driver die?

In CALCULUS AFFAIR, we all remember the dramatic scene that unfolds when Tintin et al are run off the road and into the lake.

Does the driver die?! He looks dead!

He's ok folks, he's alive and well!

Read further on. A witness says "Ah, the driver's just come round" Meaning that he has regained consciousness after being knocked out (I presume) by the crash.
I guess he waited for the Gendarmes, called his insurance company and got the bus home...?

Doesn't the taxi driver remind you of someone when hes in the water being dragged to the shore by Tintin?

Are you referring to the fact that in that scene he resembles Adolf Hitler?
