It's one mystery I've been thinking of since I read The Calculus Affair. Anyone knows what happened to the Italian Ultrasonic Specialist after bombing? Was he dead? Did he survive? I just can't find a clue.

Thanks.

Well, the police said that all three were merely "unconscious" while taking them out from the wreckage.(1) Had he died, it's safe to say that the newspaper article in the following square would have mentioned it.
Not many people offhandedly die or receive lifelong injuries in Tintin. Odds are that he recovered, with minor ailments, and continued his research. He probably was more careful about inviting strangers in afterwards!
Had Alph-Art been completed, I wouldn't have been surprised to see Topolino make an appearance.
1. See The Calculus Affair.

There is a book called "Le Tournesol illustre" (The Illustrated Calculus) by Albert Algoud which describes Calculus and his world in great and wonderful detail - though it takes a few liberties, such as describing the later lives of characters like Phostle of "The Shooting Star" with details that have no basis in the Tintin canon.

In the case of Topolino, for instance, it claims that his house was rebuilt at the expense of the Bordurian embassy once it was established that Bordurian agents were responsible for its destruction.

Did the author have any evidence to support this claim?

No. Like I said, he took a few liberties.

That's bad. Only information that was present in the book should have been used. You cannot invent things that have to do with Tintin unless you are Herge.
