Red Sea Sharks: Who is Ramon Zarate?

In tintin in the red sea sharks
tintin and haddock want to return alcazar's wallet to him
so they go to bristol hotel ask about him but the hotel manager(or whatever) says he doesnt recognise him
so they say he's registered under another name ramon zarate . my question is that why do they say the name ramon zarate and not anything else
i don have many tintin books so i cant figure it out

Ramon Zarate is the name used by Alcazar when he worked as a knife-thrower at the theater in Seven crystal balls. Tintin thought he might have used it as cover of some sort in Red sea shark.
