Seven Crystal Balls: Why was Tintin friendly to Alcazar?

He wants to catch up with Alcazar as Snowy disrupts poor Bianca's performance at the start of the adventure.
Why's he so keen to meet up with him again, this was the guy who wanted him dead in The Broken Ear?
He did not give Tintin a chance to defend himself despite the fact that Tintin had saved their lives earlier in the story when they were playing chess.

Tintin's quite eager to see him again, I just thought this strange as wouldn't he be hesitant or extremely reluctant to even want to meet up with him again based on their last encounter?
Maybe Tintin deducing he'd been framed by Trickler (in Broken Ear) realised Alcazar had simply been deceived and therefore held not ill wind towards him??

Thoughts?

That's always been my assumption as to why Tintin felt no ill will towards Alcazar. Alcazar for his part had been overthrown in a separate issue and, reduced to performing in music halls, needed all the friends he could get - including Tintin whom he had previously accused of betrayal. There have been many examples of people who were previously enemies meeting on more-or-less friendly terms - sometimes with gritted teeth, sometimes genuinely friendly.

I think there are also some discussions about the order the books are published in, so there are inconsistancies in the stories.

That might apply to the English publication of the books which were a mess, but not the original French where the chronology was respected and where Tintin and Alcazar have a friendly reunion in "Crystal Balls" when, the last time they met in "Broken Ear", the former was all set to be shot by the latter.

I would think that Tintin was probably assuming that since Alcazar was his friend once, and no longer had any political power, things would probably be all right.

Maybe he wanted to give him some sound advice?

"Ramon. The knife act is good, but it's not forever is it? How about overthrowing Tapioca just one more time. Give Peggy a nice palace perhaps?"

Sorry... :-)
