Hello,
I recently saw Cars 2 on DVD and, although I don't wish to post any spoilers for those who may want to watch it, the key point of the plot is very similar to Land of Black Gold.

I wonder if it was actually inspired by Tintin or just a remarkable coincidence?

Moderator Note: It's fine to start a thread, but in a case like this, it's really up to the initial poster to develop the conversation. You can't expect people to have seen Cars 2, you really need to say what the similarities are that you are seeing, and why you think it's notable, or if you yourself see it as coincidence.

Possibly! Tintin has inspired many movies old and modern (take a look at Indiana Jones).

Hmm, that's very interesting. I have yet to watch that movie, (animated movies never really stick with me) but might now, after hearing this.
Thanks for opening this thread, kirthiboy!
