Q69: Meet the Beatles!

As the quiz appears to have bogged down a little, I’ll throw in a question.

In which book does a character sing a song recorded by The Beatles?

Off the top of my head... Sophcles Sarcophagus singing The Sheik of Araby in Cigars of the Pharaoh?

Is it the one Haddock sings in Tintin in Tibet on p.15, last frame.

Ranko

We have a winner! Well done, Ranko!

It was of course recorded by the Fab Four at their Decca audition in 1962, as well as live in the early days; the song was officially released on Anthology 1.

I don't think The Beatles ever recorded The Grand Old Duke of York, although they did manage to fit a chorus or two of Frère Jacques into Paperback Writer, so they weren't averse to the odd nursery rhyme!
