There are two substances which are self named by professors in the book.

Which two professors are these and what are the substances they name after themselves? Title of albums too also please!

1st.
Tintin and the Shooting Star. Professor Phostle names the metal in the meteor as "Phostlite", humble fellow that he is.

2nd one is... (hopefully i can think of this...and update before others.)

Moderator Note: Tut tut! That wasn't very sporting now, was it? You've effectively tried to hog the points without having prepared a complete solution, while spoiling it for someone who may be trying to get the whole answer by themselves. Your enthusiasm is appreciated, but please try and be fair to everyone.

Players are reminded that, as per Rule 4, they may only attempt to answer a question once.

Apologies for the rule breaking. :) Of course I wouldn't have updated it if someone else had got the second one. :) and i also see it now as a double guess. Doh! (or should i say blistering barnacles)

This is the problem when trying to solve the questions from work and being away from my books. I'm not sure it would give the right impression if i brought my Tintin books in - would make work more fun though :)

I'm guessing i can have a second guess after the clue... bring it on. :)

Hello all,

Phostlite - Decimus Phostle. The Shooting Star
Calculon - Cuthbert Calculus. Destinatin Moon
(This is the silicon based substance Calculus invents to combat the high temperatures produced by the rockets nuclear motor)

I will buy your policy if that's correct, Mr. Wagg :-)
