Another car challenge:

What's the manufacturer's name and model of the car which finished 24-Hours at Le Mans twice as winner of its class and which appears in a Tintin book?

Sorry tuhatkauno, but to be fair to other players we must have a 'first answer' policy, and this includes those who withdraw their answers. Following Rule 4 you may not attempt to answer this question again.

Some clues:

- The car in question was the winner of its class in two 24-Hours at Le Mans editions: 1951 and 1952;
- It isn't the Porsche 356 (Porsche 356 versions won Le Mans four times!!!...not twice).

Have a got at it!...

I suppose you mean the Mercedes-Benz 300 SL that won the 1952 Mans race with H.Lang & F.Riess on board?

I'm not sure that car won the 1951 race, though.

A Mercedes 300 can be spotted in The Calculus Affair (p.28)

Hi yamilah,
The Mercedes-Benz 300SL isn't the same model which appears at page 28 (Mercedes Adenauer) in Calculus Affair. The '52 Le Mans overall winner (300SL) is a two-seat, closed sport car with characteristic gull-wing doors. Moreover, Mercedes 300SL only won the 1952 race.
Good attempt!!!

Hey, I got it, It's a Lancia Aureila B20 and it's a car which that Italian race fanatic drove. You know the maroon car which looks like a Jaguar in front that Tintin asked the driver to chase the Slydavian Kidnapper Chrysler. That's the car.

Hey alvarino, i'm a bit like Tintin, cracking and solving harsh questions.

P.S The car won the 1.2000 class in 1951, 1952 with a driver named Giovanni. Hey, isn't that guy named Giovanni in The Calculus Affair.

Yes, you've got it, tintinspartan!!!
The car in question is the Lancia Aurelia B20, a classic (and beautiful) Italian sport car that was the winner of its class in two Le Mans editions: 51 and 52 (Like the Italian racer in Calculus Affair, Giovanni was the drivers' name of the 51 edition).
It's your turn...
