I don't believe 'Congo' was ever made in paperback by a legitimate publisher, nor has 'Soviets' been published in colour legitimately.

Hergé never made a remake of Tintin in The Land of The Soviets, so there is no version of it in color.

Off topic:
You can find the original stories Hergé made in hardcover and in black and white: they are longer versions and these have the first drawing versions of Tintin, not the refined style we are used to see in the color books.

Of these, I found "Tintin in America",
and "Cigars of The Pharaoh" (this original version is very cool, in my opinion).
I have tried to order 'Congo' and the "Crab with the Golden Claws" in the same format without success.

There is no difference, only the cover. I thought I already told you (or someone) that. Last year they were a lot cheaper. I don't know why they are so expensive now.

Is there a difference between the expensive white one and the one with the red band around the cover?

Yes. I think you need to read back through the thread, as people have been telling you what you want to know, and don’t seem to have managed to convince you.

To summarize:
The one with the white cover is the first English edition and version of the story, done in black and white. It is made to look like the earliest French version of the book.

The one with the yellow cover is the same black and white book as above, but with a cover which is made to be like a later edition of the French album.
The coloured covered book with the belly-band is the first English translation of the standard updated colour version of the story, so is completely different inside from the previous two.
