Hi Guys,
I recently found a French version of The Seven Crystal Balls; interestingly it has a Methuen sticker on top of Casterman.
I thought that Methuen only did English translation?

How much would you value this book for?

You’ll need to provide a bit more info on the book, as you don’t give any details of how old it is, or if it is hardback or paperback. It is entirely possible that there wouldn’t be a way of fixing a price, as there may just not be any way of giving a value on something which, although unusual, doesn’t have particular desirability. It may of course be that the Casterman edition has value in its own right: in that case, it is to be hoped that the sticker doesn’t reduce its value…!

It does sound like a bit of a curiosity, but my gut feeling is that Methuen were probably acting as a distributor for the French editions, probably under the banner of the educational value. I know that someone has spotted English-language books being sold by Casterman over the internet in their foreign editions series, and I think that works the same way (I don”t know if they sticker them).

it looks fairly old. The last book mentioned on the back page is the Castafiore Emerald. so I'm guessing its around 1963
