Valuation: Tintin 75th Anniversary 10 Euro Coin

Just want to gauge the interest in the Tintin 75th Anniversary 10 Euro Coin. Does anyone know its value?

At the Moment 10 euro's I imagine.In years to come they will value but only probabaly to 15 Euro's im not sure on this subject but im pretty sure in years to come it wont be worth as much as alot of people think.

Fortunately a bit more than that, as if nothing else they were minted in silver!

The edition of 50,000 sold out very quickly, so it was definitely a popular one, and it would be attractive to not just Tintin fans, but specialist collectors of BD-related coins (there have been quite a few comic-themed ones), or of Euro coins, and general coin collectors.

It may not have risen hugely in value, but I think you’re looking at somewhere between £30 and £40.

If you did want to spend it, you could exchange it for €10 of stuff, but you’d be down on the deal as they cost €31 when they were issued, so it probably wouldn’t be worth the trip down the shops. Oh, and you’d have to spend it in Belgium, as special issue Euro coins like this are only tender in the country of origin…
