Hello! I have 66 volumes form different years and some of them are from Belgium and others from Canada. I have one from 1953, 2 from 1954, 2 from 1960 and so forth up to 1970 . I would like to know if someone can help me telling me for how much would I be able to sell it and if its better to do so one by one or as a collection. THANKS A LOT!

You are talking about individual issues of the magazine and not the bound collections, aren't you? The yearly bound collections are quite rare and sought after.

It depends on which issues you have, their condition, etc. As an extremely rough guide, ones drawn by Hergé are far more valuable, especially if they have a Tintin related cover (although there are others drawn by some other artists that may be more valuable than others, such as those announcing the start of adventures by E.P. Jacobs, etc). However, I see from the years you have that you're sadly past the 'golden period', since Hergé drew less and less covers from the 50s onwards. There are a few covers for the Moon adventures that are fairly valuable (around £20+ per copy), but run-of-the-mill copies of the magazine might fetch about 1 euro each on average.

My advice would be to research the issues you have by looking at how much they go for on ebay (search for 'Tintin Journal' or 'Tintin Hebdo').

Good luck!

Thanks for answering! At least 30 of them are in perfect conditions and drawn by Hergé. So you think that I should sell them individually? 30 dollars each? I posted 14 at 500 dls so I think they are expensive then. I can not find any of the 50´s on eBay...none, that's why I was asking you guys. I hope you answer my question so I change the price on eBay or cancel the publication and sell them one by one.

Sorry if I've caused any confusion; when I said 'drawn by Hergé' I actually meant those with covers drawn by Hergé. The magazines with covers drawn by Hergé are more valuable. I wasn't referring to the adventures inside the magazine drawn by Hergé.

If I were selling them I would sell them individually, although it's time-consuming, making a note of the issue number in the sale. That way any collectors who are after certain issues are more likely to pick them up.
