Casterman are releasing the CinéAlbum, a photo-novel version of the movie The Adventures of Tintin: The Secret of The Unicorn, which retells the story of the film in comic-strip format with speech-bubbles to carry the dialogue; you can see five sample pages on their web-site.

Looks interesting. They've given the bubbles the squared-shape-with-indented-corners with which we are familiar, and have adopted a page layout similar to the traditional books (four tiers of strips to a page, keeping the images within the panel borders, etc.); they have left the circle off the page number though, which actually looks odd!

Fantastic! Do you know if there's going to be an English translation? Also, do how many pages it is in length?

The short answers are "no", and "no"! ;-)
Can't see any sign of it on the Egmont.co.uk site, so there doesn't appear to be anything coming from them; that said, the book may not be covered by their deal, and might come from somewhere else.
Amazon.fr lists it as 64 pages, but I don't know if that is significant, as it also lists Tintin au Congo as having 59 pages, and L'Île Noir as 61 pages.

My guess is it will be the standard 62 pages; this should make for some fairly brisk story telling!

Without knowing and purely guessing here I'm confident they'll keep this in the spirit of the original books and make it a 62 pager..
Makes sense yes? As you say Jock, it'll be a quick read :)
As for an English translation, they would be very foolish to not look at this, I think it's a given here..

It's a great idea and I'm looking forward to seeing it soon!
