Identification Needed: Pottery Tintin and Snowy in Blue Lotus Vase?

We have a model of Tintin and Snowy in a large vase, based on the cover of The Blue Lotus book. The model is about 11" (28cm) high and 6" (15cm) wide.

I am aware that some similar (but possibly different-sized) models are made of resin or a combination of resin and wood, but this seems to have been made of pottery. It has the appearance of having been hand-made and hand-painted.

The model is thought to have been acquired at least 20 years ago. It may have been bought in Belgium, as the family which owns it has Belgian connections. It does not show the name of the factory, nor any markings to show its date or country of manufacture. There is nothing to indicate that it was one of a limited edition.

Does anyone have any information that may help in researching its history and/or value? Any such information will be gratefully received.
