Hi,
I'm new to this forum. I'm based in Perth, Australia.
I have a collection of old Tintin books, some of which date back to the late 1940s. These old ones are in black and white, including a number of coloured full plate pictures. The oldest ones don't have any date reference.
The list is itemised below.
I would greatly appreciate any advice on their value and who might be interested in buying them.
Thanks
Andy

1. Tintin in Tibet - 1970. SBN 416 92600 2
2. Les bijoux de la Castafiore - 1963.
3. Le temple du soleil - 1949.
4. Le tresor de Rackham le Rouge - Casterman, no date.
5. Les 7 boules de cristal - 1948.
6. Le treaor de Rackham le Rouge - 1947.
7. Destination moon - 1969.
8. The calculus affair - 1970. SBN 416 60560 6
9. L'etoile mysterieuse - 1947.
10. L'etoile mysterieuse - no date.
11. Le Crabe aux Prince d'or - no date.
12. Coke en stock - 1958.
13. Vol 714 Pour Sydney - 1968.
14. L'ile noire - no date.
15. Le secret de la licorne - 1947.
16. L'ile noire - no date, black and white, with a few coloured pages.
17. Tintin en Amerique - no date, black and white, with a few coloured pages.
18. L'oreille cassee - no date, black and white, with a few coloured pages.
19. Le sceptre d'Ottokar - no date, black and white, with a few coloured pages.

The 'no date' items appear very old and at least 1940s vintage.

Hey AndyS,

I'm sure the folks on here will have good advise for you (probably better than mine!) but here's what's worked for me.

Combo of eBay, plus https://www.bedetheque.com/, plus http://www.catawiki.com/ helps to give a clearer picture of what people are paying as well as what sellers are expecting on the high end (eBay).

You can also dig into https://www.bookfinder.com/, https://www.vialibri.net/, and https://www.abebooks.com/ to see what "bookshops" are offering.

I'm just a casual collector/fan so I defer to the others on here for better advise but hopefully these links start to help out.

August

PS I'm in Sydney - so I'm certainly interested in your collection! :)
