Hi,
I'm Steve (Brad is my middle name). I'm a new member as from this minute. I'm 41 years young and reside in Kent (UK). I began collecting Tintin from about 1974, the Black Island being my first book (@ 35 pence!). I completed what I thought was the set by the early 80's only later to discover the likes of Picaros, Blue Lotus, Broken Ear and America. My favourite is Red Sea Sharks, my least favourite is Castafiore Emerald. Have all 'cept Congo and Soviets. Sent off this week for the 75th ann. 10 disk DVD set.
All the best,

Hello

Name is Hovig Alahaidoyan - born in Belgium and grew up in Beirut and now an Armenian living in Southern California - a real scrambled egg. Lets see - started readin around I think 6-7. "Unicorn" if I remember right - was my first book - but it got under my skin and Im addicted to it...seeing as how I havent read ANY other comics ...and most of my 90+ tintin books/magazines are in French even though I can hardly remember any of my french...
(but I guess I have a good incentive now). Im 27 - working (when there's work) as an illustrator for films I dont watch and videogames I dont play...but my dream is to become a photojournalist. (Love magnum photo and VII - bunch of adventurers running around with their cameras!) I also play classical guitar and love to do roadtrips through the states.
Favorite tintin books ... sort of like sophie's choice... but Im going to have to go with....its between Black island or Red Sea sharks...
oh and the Herge chronologie series - these books are amazing!!!!

I guess I should introduce myself too -- my name is Marjorie, and I'm a 16 year-old high school student living in southeastern Michigan. I started reading the books (rather, having them read to me) when I was a toddler, and ever since I've enjoyed them very much.

I am a photographer, a drawer, and a writer, and I adore reading comics more than reading novels. Um... Sports. Oh, yeah, I'm big on sports. Don't play 'em, but I watch them. Mostly hockey (but there isn't an NHL season this year...) and American football, with some baseball thrown in there every so often.

My favorite Tintin book... I can't pick just one. I'd say Explorers on the Moon, Tintin in America, Blue Lotus, and the Calculus Affair. That's some great stuff.

Jyrki21 and MoonRocket: this thread for self introductions only. I've created a new topic for you and other interested folks to talk about the National Hockey League (NHL). :)

Hi.

My name is Mikael Uhlin and I've been living in Sweden since I was born (in 1963). I've been a fan of Tintin since I was 7 when Swedish TV started to show the Belvision-series. After that I bought or got the albums, one at a time. My favourites are Crystal Balls/Temple of Sun. I'm divorced and got three daughters (born 1986, 1988 and 1993). Amazingly, they all still like to listen to the Swedish cassettes and records with Tintin (a.k.a. Tomas Bolme) while eating breakfast - a nice family tradition :-)

I'm not sure if it's allowed but my website (including a Tintin-section) is at http://w1.660.telia.com/~u66002771/
It's mostly in Swedish but parts of it are in English.

A warm welcome to all new members! :)

Hi, Mikael, welcome and thank for joining our community. I visit your very famous Radjaidjah Tintin site from time to time. :)

It is unfortunate that we cannot link to many other Tintin sites, due to fear of reprisals from Moulinsart (we have been burnt before!). Yours, however, is one of few Tintin sites we can link to as long as it remains free of unauthorized Tintin materials.

Hello All,

I'm very excited to find this site!

I was first introduced to TinTin and Asterix by my best friend at the time, Charlie during my days in Jr. High (way back in the 70's, ofrofl!).
My favorite momentos from my only trip to England & France are theTinTin & Asterix books I picked up there back in '87.
My traveling partner was after LeMoge(sp?) china and I was after My books!
I guess I'm about due for another trip to add to my collection.

My body is 41 but my soul is 10 :-)

It's soon Christmas in Sweden as well, but instead of great aunts and cousins, I'll settle for daughters, parents, brothers, nieces and nephews - it's almost the same
