Hello everybody!

Wonder why I use "tintinagalog"? It's a 'sprouted mushroom' actually as I create the Philippine Tintin website (it's unofficial and unfinished yet, but I'm waiting for the Herge-Moulinsart's go signal to make it official). The syntax used in geocities.com/tintinagalog is mostly Tagalog --- one of the Philippine's major dialects. In my country, Filipino-translated foreign language means "tinagalog" (past tense).

Since the Philippine Tintin website I'm creating is simply translated from tintin.com's English version, I decided to come up with the combination of "Tintin" and "tinagalog," in which the "tin" from "tinagalog" is deleted.

Hello everyone!

I've been visiting this website for a few months now, and thought it was about time i became a member!

When i was ten I had the big Tintin English/French dictionary (probably still do somewhere...) and often wondered what "sapristi!" meant, and thanks to this website i now know!

I've always liked the sound of the word, whatever it meant.

I chose my name because I lived in Germany for a while and Tintin and Snowy (Tim und Sruppi in German) helped me re-learn German. Fridolin Kiesewetter is the German name for that lovable jackass, Jolyon Wagg!

And Etterbeek is of course the dull, grey Brussel suburb where young Georges Remi grew up.
Not the most inspired user name ever, but I will look for another one (all the good ones are taken already!)

Not being good at coming up with user names, I thought I'd used the same practice a certain author used: my initials, inverted.

Your initials are GC, then?

Triskeliae is my user name in other sites as well. I love ancient symbols, and the Celtic triskele is my favorite. Around 10 years ago, I practiced a little bit of numerology to create a name for myself, and through that, I came out with this one (the last 'e' is silent).

Good thing is, it already starts with my favorite character's initial!
